Deportation of Stanitsa Poltavskaya (1932)
On the Stalin’s Soviet Union map as “Stanitsa Poltavskaya”
Dec 1932 — Authorities accused the Kuban Cossack settlement of Poltavskaya of sabotaging grain deliveries. They blacklisted it and deported nearly its entire population to the north. Demobilized soldiers were settled in the emptied houses, and the village received a new name: Krasnoarmeiskaya.
