In one paragraph
Maps of History is an interactive history map. Ask a question in plain words, such as "Which countries were invaded in Europe in 1939?" or "How did the Roman Empire grow?", and the map shows the borders of that year with the places, battles and routes in the answer, while a short written answer names the dates and sources. The world map covers every year from 3400 BC to 2024, built on the open Cliopatria dataset with audited corrections, 11,268 dated battles and the capitals of each period. Twenty-one guided atlases, from Rome and the Mongols to both world wars, the Cold War and the decolonization of Africa, explain causes and consequences chapter by chapter, with map quizzes and printable study notes for IB and AP students. Readers can ask in their own language. The first questions and the first chapter of every atlas are free.
