Guangxi Massacre (1967–68)
On the Mao’s China map as “Guangxi”
1967–68 — In Guangxi, militias and officials killed tens of thousands as the army-backed faction crushed its rival. Estimates range from about 80,000 to 150,000, with most of the killing in 1968. A later Party inquiry documented ritual cannibalism of victims in Wuxuan and other counties.
