Pavlik Morozov (1932)

Sep 1932 — Pavel Morozov and his younger brother were killed in Gerasimovka, a village in the Urals. Propaganda turned Pavlik into a child hero who had denounced his own father to the authorities. Historians have since shown that much of this legend was invented.
