Tibet expels the Qing garrison (1912–13)

On the Chinese Revolution map as “Tibet expels the garrison”

1912–13 — The government of the 13th Dalai Lama disarms and deports the Qing garrison, declaring that its priest-patron bond with the dynasty has ended with the dynasty itself. No Chinese government controls Lhasa again until 1951. The parchment zone on the map records that separation.
