Madrigal v. Quilligan (1975–78)

1975–78 — Ten Mexican-American women sue over sterilisations at the Los Angeles County–USC Medical Center. The procedures were often performed during labour, after consent forms in English. The women lose in 1978, but their case helps win federal consent rules and bilingual forms.
