Breslau becomes Wrocław (1945–48)

1945–48 — Breslau had about 630,000 inhabitants in 1939. Almost all its Germans leave, and Poles from central Poland and the lost eastern provinces settle in the city, now called Wrocław. Within three years, one population had replaced another; street names, schools and churches changed too.
