On the Refugee crises map as “The bridge at Andau”

Nov 1956 — Near the Austrian village of Andau, tens of thousands of Hungarians escape over a small wooden bridge across a canal. Soviet troops blow it up on 21 November. The American novelist James Michener gives his 1957 book about the revolution’s refugees the bridge’s name.
