Central Plains War (1930)
On the Chinese Revolution map as “The Central Plains War”
May–Nov 1930 — Across Henan, Yan Xishan, Feng Yuxiang and the Guangxi generals put a million men in the field against Chiang’s “reunified” government. Chiang wins by buying the support of Zhang Xueliang’s Manchurian army. The result shows how much that unity still depends on bargaining for military power.
