Red Terror and White Terror (1918)
On the Russian Revolution map as “Red Terror & White Terror”
Sep 1918 — An attempt on Lenin’s life is followed by the unleashing of the Cheka; the Whites answer in kind. Both sides institutionalize terror against class and political enemies. Their victims are remembered here without making a spectacle of them.

The Brest-Litovsk layer shows the source’s March–May 1918 occupation campaign envelope, rather than presenting it as the treaty text’s exact line on a single day.
Civil-war lines show the published campaign phase. Port, railway and uprising footprints represent thematic military-presence regions; their stated widths do not claim surveyed political frontiers.
