Siege of Tenochtitlan (1521)

On the Norse and Aztecs map as “The siege of Tenochtitlan”

May–August 1521 — From late May, the besiegers cut the aqueduct from Chapultepec and used brigantines and canoes to blockade the lake. By the time the city fell on 13 August, tens of thousands of people, perhaps far more, had died from hunger, thirst, smallpox and fighting.
